I have one problem with the proposed name:
Conceptually, ram.erotica is - from the point of view of
the ram.* hierarchy - a genre split. I would suggest
to call the group
	rec.arts.movies.genre.erotica
in order to provide the proper place for further genre splits.
This suggestion is analogous to last year's creation of
ram.local.indian, a geographical/cultural split, where the "local"
had been inserted to provide a place for splits of the same nature.
(The original proposal didn't have the "local", that came up in the
discussion on news.groups.)

I'm aware that I'm opening a can of worms here,
quite a few of the regulars on ram.* are strictly opposed
to genre splits and the very presence of ram.genre would invite
further genre splits.

I never was a regular reader of alt.sex.movies.
For every interesting post there is too much crap
one has to wade through, the group is so badly propagated
that - at the time when it reaches Scotland - discussions are incomplete
and incomprehensible. It also appears to have as its sole subject
American hardcore pornos of the last 5 years. Questions about, say, 1970ies
sexploiters [e.g. "Are Arlene Soerje and Alena Penz the same person?"]
would appear to be quite out of place there.
