"Sin City : The Movie"(1992), is shot on film and starring Samantha Strong,
as the cover indicated, though she looks a little like Rebecca Wild on
that cover photo. If you are a big Samantha Strong fan like me, don't
rent this one, or you would like to smash the TV set when you watch it.
She only shows up in the beginning and the ending of this film. In the
first scene, she just plays herself while Jamie Gillis talks dirty to
her. The last scene is a ridiculuously short game bang.
Shot on film does not always mean a porno will have a better
quality than those shot on video ("Private Film: The Tower" seris and
"Curse of the catwoman" are good examples). Sometimes, because of the
technical complication and the high production expense, a shot-on-film
porno can become a diaster; "Sin City: The Movie" is a fine example
(unfortunately). First, the whole film is only 79 minutes long, and in
the first 20 minutes, there is no sex scene (very, very unique in adult
films), and in the rest 60 minutes, there are six sex scenes which are
very, very short (except for foreplay, about 5 minutes each) in an adult
film standard. This film should be a two hours long so it can carry both
the plot and sex scenes; unfortunately, there are only 79 minutes.
It is difficult to make a good soundtrack in a shot on film
production. In most situations, the real sound of fucking will be
elimated, and we only can watch fucking, but listen to new-age-like
music, which makes hard-core look like softcore. Andrew Blake is the
number 1 in this realm, and that's why, after viewing his "Secert," I
avoid watching any of his works. In "Sin City," the "real" soundtract
only exits in the first scene (because there is conversation in it), and
an anal scene with Ona Z and Mike Horner (this scene is also an
disappointed scene, very, very "cold" fucking). In other scenes,
everybody fucks in silence. In the last scene, Anisa gets a good facial,
and after that, she continues to suck and lick the cock. This one could
be a worth keeping facial, but the cold, short, and silent fucking
weakens this erotic facial.
The director and writers try to portray how, by the introduction of
an angel with a devil face, Samanta Strong and Mike Horner (a
conservative, and not very intimate couple) discover the magic of sex and
the worth of love. But they are just not talent enough to balance story
and sex. If you like Andrew Blake, ypu can try this one, but notice, the
quality of this one is far worse than Andrew's. If you are zealous
Samantha Strong's fan, don't try it, because I 'm and I was let down.
* Ironically, what impresses me most in "Sin City: The Movie"
are the use of long shot and the delicate editing in the first ten
minutes. However, they have nothing to do with "sex."
