The Shocking Truth, Gregory Dark for Evil Angel; shot October, 1996.


This goes on my list of one of the five worst movies I've seen all year.

Rent this movie for Chloe Nichole or Tracy Love, who are well worth
watching if you are a fan.  Tracy is hugely phoney; Chloe's "interview" 
is surprisingly candid and makes her scene much more interesting.

You get five 28-minute scenes. 

* * * * * * * * *

A lot of you don't know who Gregory Dark is, and don't really care.
I'm posting this in order to describe what he does these days, as a 
warning.  When you rent a Gregory Dark film, this is what you get:

*)  Lots of footage shot in the dark. Shadows everywhere, especially
    right where you want to see what's going on.  Gregory calls it "art".

*)  Lots of distracting special effects camera work, that obliterates
    the good performances that almost occur before Dark gets "arty".

*)  Ridiculous costume props. In this movie, All the guys wear 
    incredibly distracting haloween pig snouts and dog ears.  It's
    obvious that this is Dark's idea of adding artistic mystery to
    his scenes-- it just looks fucking ridiculous.

*)  Immensely wooden and phoney dialog. You will be embarrassed for
    these people.  This plot crap that Dark doesn't know how to write 
    or shoot, takes way too much time.  It's hard to get hard when you 
    start out embarrassed for the performers you're watching.

*)  Very little chemistry among the performers. Lots of soft dicks.

*)  Weird acts that are supposed to be kinky.  Dark uses teaspoons to
    scoop cum off of girls' chests in this one.  In another scene,
    a stud actually peels off his fake mustache and places it on his
    partner's stomach, and then goes back to pumping away in a splay
    missionary position.    

    Just about every three minutes, one or another performer does 
    something really distracting like this that makes no sense.  
    Pretty soon, the "make no sense" gestures just take over from the 
    "sex" activities in a Dark film.  You start to dread what is
    coming next.

*)  Did I mention the Mistress of Ceremonies?  Starr Chandler is a 
    very pretty slim blonde, who would have been a fine addition to
    the video.  Gregory Dark painted her tomato red from head to toe,
    and the paint started to peel when it dried.  She looked like a
    blonde with a horrendously ugly, painful third-degree burn over 
    her whole body. Not sexy.

I have a rave review to write on Chloe Nichole, but not in this depressing
message-- Chloe is a true sexual explorer in the Henry Miller/Anias Nin
sense.  I have NEVER seen her in even anything less than a good scene,
including this one.  She's a year older and ten lbs heaver here than when
she started, but she takes on four guys and wears them out, out, out. 

I like Tracy Love, but Dark's script and camera almost ruin the good 
show she tried to give us.

BOTTOM LINE:  Excreable-- unless you've read Tropic of Capricorn recently
and want to watch Chloe Nichole do some sexual exploring. 

I'm no expert on porn, so I don't know--- Has Gregory Dark ever made any
good videos?  I'd be curious to see a list.
