Synopsis:

A brief review of the plot thus far.  Elysabeth and William are
traveling in Egypt.  They uncover a map to a secret treasure.  The
treasure turns out to be a Goddess of Love.   They report their find to
the Minister of Culture.  But he has other plans for the treasure.

The Minister of Culture retreats to a friends harem, and picks seven
girls to fuck.  The rest of the harem lounges around semi-nude,
some masturbating.   All those women and only one guy?  It kind of
a waste.  But all the women are beautiful, some are drop dead gorgeous.
(There is a higher percentage of these among the women who aren't
participating in the sex).   I liked this scene, but it would have
been nice to see more of these women get fucked.

A police officer arrives and receive a blow-job while waiting for 
the minister to finish.

The Minister send the police officer to arrest Elysabeth and the
Goddess.  William and Karem return to the hotel to find the room empty
except for the maid.  The maid tells them that the police came and took
the two women away.  William is very upset, but Karem tells him he
knows some mercenaries that can help.  Karem also convinces the maid to
give William and him a good fucking to take William's mind off his
troubles.

This is the best scene in the picture.   The blonde maid is very pretty
and she fucks and sucks vigorously.  They do spoons, cowgirl, mish, 
doggie, anal doggie, RAC, a brief DP, and end with a double facial.

At the prison, the Goddess and Elysabeth seduce the guard and escape.
Petty standard scene.  Not very vigorous.

In the desert, William and Karem party with the mercenaries.  I was
surprised to see Shonna Lynn turn up as one of the mercenaries.  What
ensues is standard private action with two side by side foursomes with
one women at the center of each.  That's one dick too many per female
if you ask me.  The female servant is very pretty, and Shonna Lynn's
face looks nice here too.  Good makeup and hair.  But her body is not
shown off very well.  There are some awkward positions that are
unflattering to her figure.

Back at the prison two maids discover the poor guard in chains.
The agree to release him if he'll give them a good fucking.
I don't find bar stone cells or chains very erotic, but this
is fairly good scene due to the present of a pretty blonde
rather like the girl in scene two.  The brunette is very pretty too.
The guard must really like them, as he comes twice in the scene.

The Captain of the guard (a women) comes in at the end, and has the
women dragged out and leaves the poor guard in his cell.

Comments:

Some of the best porn I've seen of late has been in the Private Gold
series.  This stuff is so much better than the typical cable-ready
American crap I see.  (Look for reviews of Private Dancer and 
Friends in Sex later).

Private Films feature beautiful, mostly all-natural young women.
Compare that to the mostly-plastic, bikini-waxed, cookie-cutter
bottle-blondes we see in American videos.

Private Films are technical superior.  The scene are well lit.
The camera stays in focus, and it knows what it should focus on.

Private Films focus mainly on explicit sex.  Not cable-ready sex.
The plot is minimal, as it should be.

This particular film is has some very nice camera work and editing.  There
are many long continuous shots where the camera moves in and out of scene,
always patiently stopping to frame the woman's whole body in action.  You
never get pissed off at the cameraman or editor because the promising shots
always pay off.  Unlike an American video, here if you start off with a
promising close-up (one where you can tell from the close up that the
woman's body is nicely posed) the camera will pan out to reveal the woman's
body in all it's glory.  An American video would 1) never move from
the close-up shot making it seem really vulgar or boring, 2) cut back and
forth from the explicit close-up and a facial close-up which is probably
totally unrelated in time or space the explicit shot, or 3) and this is the
worse, the camera would pan back some but would cut away from the shot just
before or as soon as the camera reached as optimal view position.  These are
the times I find myself ready to throw the remote at the screen.

All the dialogue is in French, with some English narration to explain
what's going on.  The narrator is a women with some rather charming English
pronunciation.

This is such an improvement of the ridiculous English dubbing I've heard
in several Joe D'Amato films with virtually ruin what otherwise are
pretty nice looking films.  I wish the wouldn't dub them or perhaps
use the alternate (mono) audio track for the English dubbing.

This film even has some credits so you can identify the performers.
Not that it does a lot of good since they mostly give just first names,
and the full names mean nothing to me yet.  But I was able to confirm
that that was indeed Shonna Lynn, and not just an incredible facsimile.

The only thing I don't particular like about Private is the tendency to
focus too much on anal and DP's.  I definitely think they over do the
reverse anal cowgirl thing.  I'd like to see more missionary, legs akimbo
sort of stuff.
