FOLLOWUP-TO: rec.arts.movies.erotica DEIDRE IN DANGER director: Paul Thomas. Vivid, 1990. cast: Deidre Holland, Rebecca Steele, Sunny McKay (=Kim Barry), Susan Vegas, Sheila Kelly (=Jenny Blue), Jon Dough, Randy Spears, Steve Vegas, Ray Victory, and in non-sex roles; Paul Thomas, Judy Blue. running time: 77 minutes. - Deidre Holland, Sunny McKay - Rebecca Steele, Jon Dough - Deidre Holland, Jon Dough - Sheila Kelly, Susan Vegas, Steve Vegas : Deidre Holland (masturbation) ; Sheila Kelly, Ray Victory (blowjob only) - Deidre Holland, Randy Spears It's New Year's Eve, 1989. A party down at the office has already started. Office workers and their girlfriends are getting it on, mainly Susan and Steve to start with. They've got the party supplies, they've got the champagne and they've got the radio with celebration music playing in the background. A woman (Sheila Kelly) is watching the couple from a stairwell and they both eventually join her for a little more fun (just pussy licking, no penetration). There's a knock on the [exit] door and when Steve opens it, in walks Raymond (Ray Victory) with his date Deidre Hendriksen (Holland). Once they enter, they make their way past the stairwell and into a narrow hallway where Deidre stands up against the brick wall and they start necking. Moments later, Ray tells her it's time for some champagne so he heads into an office and leaves Deidre waiting. In the office, Ray pulls out two glasses and a bottle of bubbly. He uncorks it, it overflows and he slurps some of it up. After pouring a glass, he takes another sip and listens to the 10 second countdown to 1990. In the background, we can see hands with gloves on and holding a wire. Ray slowly backs up onto some pole (?) and the killer (they don't hide the fact that it's Randy Spears) strangles Ray. Once his body slumps down, Spears darts off. Meanwhile, Deidre's wondering what's taking so long and calls out Raymond's name. She heads over to the office and notices the dead body on the ground. She shouts "NO!!" and runs towards it. Sheila, Susan and Steve also rush into the office to see what happened. Moments later. The police have already arrived and are searching the premises. Detective Jon Dough questions Deidre about who she thinks could have done it. She has no idea because Ray didn't have any enemies. "That you know of," says Jon. "How long were you two involved?" About three months, she says. She came down to the States about a year and a half ago and couldn't get a job because she didn't have a green card but she ended up meeting some guy named Nick Johnson at a club who told her he'd sponsor her for a job - the one she has now, managing a record store. That's where she met Ray and they started going out. Then Jon asks her if SHE has any enemies, somebody who might've hurt Raymond to get to her. She says no. He asks her if she saw anything and she says no. She couldn't hear anything either because of the loud radio. So he thanks her for her time and lets her go. Once she leaves, the commissioner (Paul Thomas) asks Jon what she said. "Huh?" asks Jon, as if in a trance. Paul asks him, "You're in love again aren't you?" Jon admits Deidre's a very beautiful woman. "There's no argument about that but let's get back to work," Paul says and they head off (this is the only time Judy Blue, playing another officer, can be seen walking around in the background). Deidre arrives home with her best friend (Sunny McKay). Deidre's still shocked about it all and Sunny tries to comfort her as best she can. Sunny makes them a pot of tea and they both relax in an outdoor sauna. Deidre says Raymond was a very good man and, in her state of despair, says she appreciates Sunny being there for her and for being her best friend. Sunny consoles Deidre further by giving her a kiss, and they end up soaking more than just a little sun (that's the weird part: Ray was killed at the stroke of midnight and after Deidre goes home with Sunny, the girls end up outside in broad daylight. Either we are led to believe that they had a second cup of tea early the next morning or they screwed up the continuity :-). - A sensual scene, Deidre and Sunny work eachother up slowly but surely. It must be the quality that doesn't make them look their prettiest, but they splash around a bit and slowly writhe in ecstacy. Their slim bodies are shown off well enough but the action is quite slow-moving. The next day (if it hadn't already started with the previous scene). Paul and Jon get to work on the investigation. Paul says there's something about this Deidre Hendriksen that doesn't add up so he's going to check the record store she works at. Jon says he wants to handle this case. "Don't get so touchy every single time you look at a pretty girl," Paul tells him. "You get this starry look in your eye and your head doesn't stay on the case anymore." "I'm not falling for her," Jon says. He tells Paul he already has a girlfriend, Lois (Rebecca Steele), who he has to go see now but will head over to Deidre's afterwards. In a studio. Lois is shouting into a microphone, practicing lyrics (that is definitely NOT music to anyone's ears). Jon enters the building and Rebecca steps out of the booth to see him. A little frustrated, she tells him, "You know, I really need to get fucked here in order to feel my music." Bluntly he replies, "Nobody ever accused you of being a romantic." "Baby, romance don't have nothin' to do with it. Don't be so fuckin' naive, ok?" They kiss and she starts taking off his belt. Rebecca turns over to a colleague in the room and says, "I rented this studio for a while. Why don't you get out of here and let us have it?" So the man leaves and Lois asks Jon if he loves her. He doesn't answer her but she begins sucking his cock and Jon has images of Deidre floating in his mind. Sucking on a limp dick, Rebecca retorts, "Then how come your fuckin' dick ain't hard?" He says, "Well it WAS hard." "Don't insult me like that. I've fuckin' been down here enough suckin' on this thing to know when it's hard. Hey, when you're with ME make sure you're fuckin' here with ME" (well excuse us, Miss Attitude!). He says, "I'm here. You see me? I'm here!" So she gets him to buckle up so they can do it all over again. He has images of Deidre in mind again (don't blame him) and he and Lois finally get it on. - Rebecca gives Jon a blowjob with a bit of tit-fucking (she has nice, medium sized breasts which I'm pretty sure are natural). They get right into a doggie and decent mish. He pulls out and cums on her hind thigh (her leg is raised). Mildly tattooed Rebecca has a hard-edged look that reminds me of Brigitte Aime but both she and Jon look disinterested throughout the scene. "So just remember, babe," Lois tells him. "The next time I go to take your dick out of your pants and suck it make sure it's hard, ok?" So she asks him if he's going to her concert tonight. He says he has a case to work on. "It's fuckin' New Year's!" she yells. "You're gonna work on fuckin' New Year's??" "Well YOU'RE working!" he says. She replies, "I have a show to do!" Then she says he doesn't WANT to go to her concert. Angrily, he gets up and says she's right. They get into an argument and he says, "Go fuck yourself already with your busting my chops with your bullshit songs. Shove 'em up your ass" and then he leaves. So now Jon heads over to Deidre's to ask her a few more questions, like if she knows of any people Ray may have gotten really peeved off. Then he asks why she came down to the States. "Because I wanted some adventure," she tells him. "I wanted to do something different.. and I guess I found it!" "What?" he curiously asks. She changes the subject. "You don't look like a cop to me," she tells him. "Well, I am," he smiles reassuringly, but tells her he's not there to talk about his life. So he asks her to think harder about the case, if she saw anyone unusual. She says no. Jon becomes more vigorous and leans harder on her. "Look," he firmly says. "Your boyfriend is dead. The man you loved. Now who are you protecting?" "Nobody!" she says and walks into another part of the room. Jon walks right up to her and kisses her instantly, without thinking. He apologizes for it but Deidre wants him to hold her close, so he does. Maybe just a little too close, however. They end up undressing and making love. - A good scene develops between these two. They kiss and slowly undress eachother (maybe a little too slow) then Deidre drops to her knees to give Jon head. She's quite eager to please. You can tell things start to become intense with this (then steady) couple when Jon quickly removes the rest of her clothing before getting a taste of her. She's laying back on the arm of a couch as they do a mish and doggie then move their doggie over to the floor and then get into missionary again. Jon ends up pulling out and cumming without stroking himself. Deidre even reaches over to grab him but he pushes her hand away. Deidre wasn't vocal at all in this scene but just her sharp facial reactions (complete with cute dimples) made it known how much she loved the intensity of it. Suddenly, the frame of Deidre's face slows down to a freeze and we see images of the party she attended (this turns out to be hours later, when she's dreaming). Sheila, Susan and Steve are on the stairwell and Deidre enters the room alongside Randy Spears. They watch the threesome. - Sheila and Susan give Steve head to start with (and Susan is very much into deep throating). He does Susan doggie style first, then Sheila and both girls stroke him off together, making him cum in Susan's mouth only with no cum swapping (decent scene). Ray eventually joins in for a blowjob from Sheila. Meanwhile, down the stairwell and up against a wall, Deidre is touching herself. Ray slowly heads down her way and Randy walks over to her as well, who grabs Deidre's hand and brings it down to Ray's cock for her to stroke. Deidre wakes up startled. She and Jon are sleeping on her couch. He wakes up too. Looking around he tells her, "It's ok. Nobody's here." The next day. Jon goes to the scene of the crime again and tries to re-trace how he thought the murder took place. Then he has a seat. "I shouldn't have fucked her, man. There's something she's not telling me," he says to himself. Back home. Deidre's in the shower. Downstairs, we see an intruder (Spears) enter through the front door (with 'scary' music playing in the background). The guy slowly makes his way upstairs and into her washroom, slowing creeping up behind her. She turns around and he pulls her out of the shower, asking her where her new boyfriend is. "You killed him," she nervously replies. He says she guessed right about Raymond but he's referring to her detective boyfriend. "He's not my boyfriend," she says. "Isn't he?" he unbelieveably asks, then kisses her. She calls him 'Marco' and says Jon's onto him. "Good," he says. "I'll just make it easy for him." He grabs the phone and tells Deidre to call him. At the office, we see Jon receive the call. He's told by Deidre to meet him at a warehouse. He says he'll be there in thirty minutes then hangs up. "There's something she's gotta show me," he tells himself as he pulls out a gun and makes sure it's loaded. "Very nice," Marco tells her as he hangs up the phone. Then he grabs her by her hair and drags her over to a closet which he locks her in. After leaving her house, Marco heads over to the warehouse. Jon is already there (well, after a certain amount of time has passed no doubt). It's a room filled mostly with musical equipment. Jon walks around for a few moments then finds Marco strumming on a guitar. "Rock 'n roll never dies," Marco says as he lights up a cigarette. "Is that a fact?" asks Jon. "That's a fact," Marco says then asks Jon if he likes the song he's playing. "It's alright," he replies. "Deidre liked it," Marco tells him. "Think you'd better come with me, pal," Jon says. "Now why would I want to do that?" asks Marco. "Stay away from Deidre." Jon asks, "Is that a warning?" "More of a warning than I gave poor Raymond." Jon tells him he's crazy. Marco ends up casually preparing to leave then turns around quickly, striking Jon with the guitar. Jon manages to pull out his gun and fire a shot. Marco tumbles off the stage he was on, picks himself up and limps into the other room. Jon chases after him and ends up firing one more shot, killing Marco (it was all poorly put together). Jon rushes over to Deidre's house and finds her locked in the closet. She asks him what the matter is, noticing the bruise on his face. Nothing, he tells her, apart from the fact that he was almost killed. She said she had nothing to do with it but he asks her, "How do I know that you weren't in on it from the beginning?" "I'll tell you everything," she says and they head over near her couch. "What happened to Marco? Is he arrested?" she asks. "Marco.. oh that was his name!" Jon exclaims. "Yeah, well, he's dead. Um.. who was he?" After a brief moment she admits, "He was my pimp." She explains how he broke into her house and dragged her out of the shower and forced her to make the call. "He killed Raymond," she says. "I can believe that," says Jon. "He almost killed me too." He gets her to tell him everything that's going on. She starts with the time when she decided she wanted to live in the States but couldn't get a job without a sponsor. And then she met Marco at a bar, who said he could help her. She was desperate and began working for him, as a prostitute. There was something about him that drew her to him, she says. "He was so sexy. He made everything seem like a sensual experience." She was willing to do anything to be with him, to make love to him. Meanwhile, as she's narrating all this, we flashback to Deidre's days turning tricks. Marco's counting her money. {{You seem to be a little short here.}} {{I wouldn't hold out on you.}} He walks over to her. {{I know you wouldn't.}} He takes off her jacket and ends up slowly undressing her. - Deidre, dressed rather provocatively, looks quite stunning here. Even her hairstyle is changed (her hair is partly up in a ponytail with the rest of it crimped). After undressing, Randy briefly sucks on her perfect breasts (that was then.. sigh) then climbs up to her face as she gives him head. Then he gets off the bed and has a seat against the wall as they both watch eachother masturbate. She approaches him and rides him cowgirl. Then they're back on the bed for a doggie and very intense mish before Deidre strokes him off to a cum (mostly dripping down her hand). Deidre says she was with Marco for nine months and when she left he thought she would eventually come back. When she didn't, he got violent. "He killed Raymond," she said. "Marco didn't like his toys to be taken away from him." "So why'd he try to kill me?" Jon asks. "Because you slept with me!" she replies. After a brief moment of silence Jon asks, "Why didn't you tell me about Marco before?" "Because I was afraid of what he might to do me, if you wouldn't catch him." She apologizes for lying and tells Jon not to hate her. He thinks for a bit then asks, "Do you mind if I spend the night here tonight? You know, it's been an awfully long day..." and they kiss. The end (is this supposed to be some sort of fairy tale, happily-ever-after ending?). The storyline's weak (not to mention the way it was executed) and much more enthusiasm would've been necessary to be able to enjoy the whole movie from start to finish, even with a poorly constructed plot. Deidre appeared in three out of five scenes that were decent enough, but she'll probably be considered a wasted resource by many of her die-hard fans. It's really only Deidre's career that would have been 'in danger' if she had continued making movies of this quality. Joey Markham [email protected]
