Curse Of The Catwoman

I've just been here (the U.S.) for six months, but I've been a big
American porn fan since I saw a excellent facial scene (which features my
favorite Samantha Strong) six years ago in Taiwan. Just recently I have
chance to view lots of porn review in the Internet, and I have some
different ideas from Brad William's review of John Leslie's "Curse of the
Catwoman." My English is still not very good, so please be patient when
you guys read it. Thanks.

I agree with Brad that the production value of and sex scenes in "Curse
of the Catwoman" are very good, but I don't agree that its plot weakens
this movie's strenghts; furthermore, I think the non-plot script makes
this movie a unique porn movie; at least, this is one that you won't
forget (I saw it when it was released in 1991, and til now, I still
remeber almost the whole movie).

Adult movie is a genre because in an adult film the sex scene is
the most important thing. Any story, boring or interesting, is just to
support a movie. Most hard-core audiences look for hot sex, but not
delicate plot, though most feature movies have plots, again, dull or
exciting, to connect sex scenes. John Leslie knows this very well, at
least in this movie, and he use a non-plot script to connect sex scenes,
and most important, the non-plot script makes sense.

In "Curse of the Catwoman,"the non-plot script works because Leslie
hands terrific lighting and, in my viewing experience, the best editing
desgin in adult movies. Everthing in this movie seems to anti-porn: the
lighting is german experssionism-like(as the result, most of the time, sex
scenes happen in the dark) the fucking is women more powerful
than men (especially in the final scene, Tom Byron is seriously fucked by
Raven and Steele), the editing is non logical (still the final scene,
Lselie mess up the time order to display the main theme of this movie).
In my point of view, Leslie hands outstanding filmming skills, even in a
underground avant-gard standard, and make this movie display poweful
sexuality.

Acttresses and actors are great in this movie, but most of all , "Curse of
the Catwoman" is a director's movie. It's a John Leslie movie. His best
one.
