From: (8-Ball) DVD REVIEW - "Real XXX Letters #4" by 8-Ball Purrrfect Video is back with its fourth installment of this usually-enjoyable series. Director Frank Bongiorno employs a very simple formula for his DVD's: employ relatively new, attractive talent (both male and female, most of whom have natural breasts); don't bore the viewer with dumb plots and setups; shoot the sex without fancy special effects; and give the consumer six solid scenes in each volume. Letters #4 features Faith Adams as the omnipresent letter-reader and, although she doesn't have sex with anyone else, Faith proves to be a most pleasant diversion as she reads the letters and plays with herself between the sex scenes. Good news/bad news: the letters are brief and to the point; Faith's voiceovers can be a tad distracting when they overlap the action. Scene One has an attractive brunette, Alex, with medium breasts and a pierced navel. She sports a few too many tats for my taste (tailbone, left boob, pubes, and neck) but she is energetic in her encounter with Tyler (Wood), which includes anal and a facial. Next up is Rhiannon (Bray), a brunette with a somewhat large nose but whose fantastic smile fills the screen. She has only one armband tat and takes a good facial from Tyler. Scene Three brings us Haley, a newcomer to me. She has an average face but an above-average sexual appetite. This tatless brunette turns up the energy while servicing two guys, Dave and Sergio. They don't DP Haley, but they both dump fine boy baths on her mug. Two attractive ladies are next, blond Brandy (Starz) and brunette Cassie (Young). Lezzing out is obviously not something new to these two as they fiddle with each other (no toys are used) in a pretty good scene. One of my all-time favs is next. Aurora (Snow) is so cute and energetic, she doesn't even let the fact that she's paired with Jay (Ashley) get in the way of a good time. I really don't have anything against Jay; it's just that this series usually brings in younger, more attractive male talent. Still, there is heat in this scene from both parties, and Jay lays a thank you on Aurora's beautiful, smiling face at the end. Scene Six lets cutie Phoenix (Ray) have her way with two guys, Tyler and Slim. Blond Phoenix has no visible tats and a bald beaver, as do many of the girls in this series, which is another plus in my book. The threesome go at it with pretty good passion until both guys drop impressive loads on Ms. Ray's delightful face. As with the other XXX Letters volumes I have seen, Bongiorno shows restraint as a filmmaker. He doesn't employ hackneyed traditions such as laboring shots of the guys' faces (particularly disturbing during the money shot); shooting the action from bizarre angles (or, say, from behind bushes); or relying on over-the-hill, overly-implanted bimbos to carry the action. He utilizes solid, unobtrusive music, nice sets (no dark alleys or nightclubs) and great lighting. Condoms were used in Scenes 2 and 6. He brings in relatively new, slender, all natural, attractive, girls. The sex is always in comfortable surroundings (a couch or bed) with reasonably attractive males (again, not much ink on any of them). And because the voiceovers tell the stories (such as they are), the girls aren't forced to try to act when they obviously have other, better talents. The result is the couples seem to be enjoying themselves, actually having fun. The lack of anal sex and "rough stuff" may turn off some viewers who like their action a little more extreme. But, personally, I enjoy my porn with a little good taste and charisma. And that is what "Real XXX Letters #4" delivers. This is another winner from Purrrfect Video. As for the technical aspects of the DVD, Purrrfect still doesn't employ a time code (a small slap on the wrist) but, aside from that, the pictures are crystal clear, the sound is very good, and the limited menus all work well. The back of the box cover displays three action shots from each of the six scenes and identifies all the performers very well. Another plus - the main menu jumps up immediately following the mandatory FBI Warning and Statement of Compliance. All the usual crap we have to FF through is saved for the Extras section off the main menu. The Extras include Trailers, a Slide Show, Websites, and Phone Sex. Bottom line: four dicks up (out of five) 8-Ball
