School Scandals (originally Finishing School Scandals) This short feature dates to late 1969 or early 1970 and seems to be fairly complete here, though there are a couple of jarring edits in dialogue. Newshen Barbara Caron goes undercover at an exclusive boarding school to get the inside story for her paper. She intrudes on the headmaster spanking a couple of naked femme students and is required to get naked as well. (She spends the rest of the movie nude.) Footage is pretty but very badly edited. Looks as if they shot the scene from a couple of angles and then spliced the footage together in short cuts with a Cuisinart. The other girl makes it with the headmaster, who is lured into an orgy with the rest of the cast that is quite unarousing. A new day of sexual openness has dawned at Miss Grundy's Finishing School and Barb quits her job at the newspaper to stay on at the academy. That's it! Pic is extremely tame. There's a peek or two at Caron's crack, but nothing dwelt upon, and the sex is very mild simulation. The choppy editing doesn't make it any sexier. All the girls work full-beaver but there are only glimpses of dicks. This was just a one-day wonder churned out to satisfy the demands of the Pussycat circuit and was probably a serious disappointment to strokers of the day. Or maybe not; it's easy to forget how spoiled we all became with the rise of XXX a short time afterward. But I doubt this was ever recommended from one raincoater to another ("You need to see that new movie Finishing School Scandals; it sizzles!")
