World's first Interactive VHS synopsis: This is a prototype of an effort from Vivid to bring DVD features to folks with only VHS tape players. You can read Vivid's Press Release (and my comments) by clicking here. It is a compilation of scenes made featuring the very popular porn star Devon. gite comments: i was prepared to scoff. But in the viewing i have found this to be an admirable effort to bring DVD features to VHS tapes. When Vivid speaks here of Multiple Angeles they are splitting the screen into up to four segments, all showing different angles at the same time. i found myself liking the result even better than what is done in DVDs where you switch back and forth into different full screens. You don't feel as though you missed anything and a second look is as easy as pushing the rewind button. Time Coded Searches, Bookmark Guide, and Multi-Screens are provided by showing a separate screen simultaneously for each chapter, between the chapters, with a sample of the action and their time line (at the beginning Vivid gives you easy synchronization instructions). Where this comes in handy for me is at the end of the film i can quickly look-up and rewind to a scene that impressed that can be viewed to complete the enjoyment of the movie. The thematic vignettes (i.e. Young & Restless and Outdoor Sex) that are provided as Bonus Features were ok, but really just a taste. And trailers are there as well.

While they always have a theme, such as a certain star or sexual activity, i find myself disappointed in their lack of continuity. (Does this make sense to anyone else?) But this is Devon and she has to be an exception. [aside: i do not mean to be too disparaging of compilations. They have value to those who are fixated on certain stars or activities. Further they are usually bargain priced so that other Joe Six-packs, like me, can keep their porn budget in line with their beer budget.] And as i always choose a favorite, for this it must be Devon. Though i must note the presence of Gwen Summers (another frequent favorite of mine) having standard sex in a nice outdoors setting. Devon is a Doll. She is obviously very orgasmic and a participant in the sexual action; not just a sponge. She directly relates to her partner(s) as well as the camera. In this she is shown is a wide variety of sexual situations including boy/girl, solo masturbation, lesbian, 3-way, and group. In the first scene we see her sexual athleticism in moving into more than a half dozen different positions including upside down fellatio and front-side cowgirl on the standing Eric Price.
