From: thom_burr@webtv.net (Thom Burr) The Sodomania Slop Shot (hereafter SSS) series always looks good on paper: sixty different anal facial climax scenes with sixty different hot porn girls. In reality, the DVD releases of this series have been plagued with serious audio problems, poor video quality, and second-rate content. SSS #2 suffers mainly from this last problem, making it a competant but uninspiring compilation. Each of the 60 or so scenes in SSS #2 is introduced by the title of the source video (the performers are not identified, however), followed by two minutes of hardcore action (usually clipped from the end of the original scene) and virtually always concluding in a facial climax shot or shots. About 40 to 45 of these scenes include some anal sex; of these, I counted 10 that showed douple penetrations. Interracial scenes of any variety are represented by only about 10 scenes. The source videos from which the clips were taken (figuers in parentheses represent how many scenes were borrowed for SSS #2; if no figure is present, assume only one scene was inlcuded) are as follows: Cumback Pussy #1, CBP #2, CBP #3 (3), CBP #4 (4), CBP #5, CBP #6 (2), CBP #7 (3), Sodomania #16, Sodomania #17 (3), Sodomania #18 (3), Sodomania #19 (2), Sodomania #20 (2), Sodomania #21 (2), Filthy First Timers #1, FFT #3 (3), FFT #4 (3), FFT #5, FFT #6 (2), War Whores (2), Shooting Gallery (2), Big Babies in Budapest, Thermonuclear Sex, Cellar Dweller (4), Cheek to Cheek (3), Blowjob Adventures of Dr. Fellatio #1 (6). Of the sixty or so girls listed in the credits, only about half of them are well-known A or B list porn stars, the remainders being amateurs, eurobabes, or C list dregs. The large majority of the girls appear in one scene only, sometimes only in a tangential, non-sex role. Describing any particular scenes would be pointless, as they're all only 2 or 3 minutes long, and only a couple stand out in anyway (Tricia Devereaux and Courtknee each get DP'ed; Lil Bitt/Reyna has 2 different facials; Chandler, Nikki, Brantz, and Alyssa Love all have decent anal clips). However, there are a few sets of clips that when looked at as a group suggest that the source video must be a dog. For example, all 6 clips from the Blowjob Advetures of Dr. F #1 are very weak because of the dreadfully plain (even ugly) girls featured--the scenes are so bad I've made a special note to never see that video, Cellar Dwellar and War Whores are two more that I was plaaning to getting on DVD before I saw SSS #2...The scenes excerpted in SSS #2 are so bad that I've moved both of these from my Must See list to the No Way In Hell list. In fact, based on what I saw of them in SSS #2, I don't think I'd make any effort whatsoever to see any of the source videos, which is a pretty damning conclusion. DVD extras are gratuitously bad. SSS #1 had a GREAT set of B-side extras, but SSS #2 has virtually nothing! Only a truly pathetic 10 picture slideshow (copied from SSS #3, no less!) and 5 poorly done trailers (for Sodomania #19, Sexual Atrocities, One and a Half Weeks in the Life of a Prostitute, Filthy First Timers #1, and--I think--Cheek to Cheek), all of which I have added to my Don't Ever Buy list. The good news is that the sound, in contrast to so many other Elegant Angel DVDs, is solid. Which is to say that it is frequently muffled and slightly incoherent, but at least always in sync. Video quality is at best mddling. Most EA stuff I've seen on VHS tape has had questionable picture quality (not helped by constant bad lighting and often barely passable camera work), and SSS #2 merely brings this same low level of quality to the DVD. Somehow the picture quality was better in SSS #1 and #3--I'd guess that the source material for #2 was that much worse. Sodomania Slop Shots $2 is an okay compilation disc (particularly considering the average Leisure Time filth or Sunshine comp trash, compared to which SSS #2 practically shines), but not much more. The seemingly endless number of petty flaws and, more significantly, the dreary source material drag this disc down to the point where I can't quite recommend it. Certainly not at a price of $25. I got it on sale on www.adultdvdempire.com for $17 or so, and even at that price (no longer available) it's a tossup. Unless you're a big fan of the three series used in this compilation --Sodomania, Filthy First Timers, and Cumback Pussy--this disk is probably a pass. Review #XIII
