Scenes: This film is a good one. The story about white slavers and a man hunting them down, is mildly entertaining and certainly watchable with much help from the FF button. I do, however, find the �Oh, yes, please rape me!� storyline a bit disturbing (Woodman keeps doing those). It�s all in good fun, however, and by switching my mind into a nastier mode (or a more cynical mode, actually), I can enjoy it. There is only implied rape in the story, no actual struggling or protests. The sex scenes are in varied locations, not just in Woodman�s usual �in bed� or �with a scenery� ones. The camerawork is inventive and gives, in Woodman�s fluid way, a good mix of close-ups and wider shots. It is as if the camera is an integral participant in the sex; and that is an effect I don�t know any other porn director/photographer able to achieve. The boxcover announces that there are 16 girls on the tape, and there probably are. Most of them don�t have sex, though, but are only naked, tied-up extras. Private are, as often before, prone to extensive exaggeration. There�s anal sex in all the scenes, and the ratio to straight sex is well balanced. As usual with Woodman there are more often two women to a man than the other way around (which means there is only one DP here). The women, some of whom we�ve seen before, are all drop-dead gorgeous, and I certainly don�t, and won�t, mind seeing them again. No pumped-up breasts mar their bodies. Most of the men are also very handsome, and coupled with the female beauties in glamorous locations or costumes, the sex looks very wholesome. Like going to the gym. This distracts a little from the heat, but I wouldn�t have it any other way, it�s too good to look at. It�s a pity the sound is dubbed. It seems that Woodman�s excursion into live sound a few months ago, was merely a detour. The dubbing isn�t horrible this time, just annoying. There are no pictures to accompany the end credits; the written ones are ambiguous about the identity of the girl in the last scene. Perhaps a scene has been censored here in Sweden, which would explain the extra girl listed, or more likely, it�s just a mistake. Various musings on PW: It�s funny that, on Private�s videos, Pierre Woodman�s stuff is, by far, the most watchable, whereas in the magazines, his stuff has been surpassed, by miles, by the brilliant work of John Palmer�s. (Draw your own conclusions.) �Pierre� is �stone� in French, isn�t it? That means PW�s name is really �The rock-hard man with wood.� (Rock Timber would be a great (corny) porn star name, BTW!)
