I found Browning's reply illiterate and repugnant. Those little snide remarks were clearly directed at those who have reported on his illegal behavior, and yet he refuses to take any credit for his own actions. Browning CLEARLY tries to place all blame on those studios that hired him. Of course, Browning says "they ought to have known"... Yet, as Mickey Skee pointed out in his AVN article, Browning had fake BIRTH CERTIFICATES and actual California ID! You know, if someone came to ME with legal, real, authentic state ID, I'd hire him for porn work. I'm not supposed to second-guess documents. This ain't Occupied France and I'm not a German border guard looking for the stolen microfilm carried in the brassiere of a Polish blond who speaks fluent Portugese.

Browning's reply can be summarized as follows:

1) "No one has any facts." To the contrary, the LA television stations, Free Speech Coalition, and AVN have all reported facts. Browning does not deal with those facts, he simply asserts there are none.

2) "No one knows how I got in porn." I for one fail to see the relevance. But either Browning is throwing out a red herring, or he is implying that a studio helped him get all this fake ID. Perhaps he's saying he was "forced" into porn, but again I disbelieve him. He's offered no story, no facts, no nothing.

3) "I am a victim." He rattles on about "what I indured (sic)" but in fact he's not a victim. No one raped him. No one held a flamethrower to his head or threatened to shave his cat.

4) "They should have known I was underage." See above. Pure bullshit.

5) "All journalists are toadies of the studios." He says that the journalists reporting on his misadventures "owe" favors to the studios, and that they are getting free videos for "defending" the industry. While I do not deny the incestuous relationship that exists between porn industry and porn journalists, I DO know that the Free Speech Coalition and the LA television stations are not in that position. Of course, even if there IS a cozy relationship, Browning has offered no specific evidence to show that this coziness has influenced reporting of HIS story.

6) "I'm not the only underage kid." Talk about your lack of facts!

7) "I never hosted any party; I did my own Web site." The problem is that he did host a party, presumably at Rage in LA. Also, his Web site said EXPLICITLY that his friend had helped him with it.

Browning also engages in personal attacks on other models, on gay porn director Chi Chi LaRue, on the porn studios, on the music in porn, on using unknown models, on femme models, and on drag queens. So much for keeping this reply objective. I won't even begin to comment on the self-loathing evident in his attacks on femme models, drag queens, and others, nor on the jealousy evident in his attacks on other models.

Actually, Bob, to my knowledge the only reporting has been in AVN. I haven't read the last 2 "Advocte Classifieds", though...
