AVN's Mickey Skee reports in the March, 1997 issue that indeed gay porn star Eric Stone did die--on Christmas Eve, 1996. He died of AIDS, a fact hinted at but not mentioned in Jack Francis' "Secrets of the Porn Stars" column in "Advocate Classifieds."

Eric Stone died in his home in upstate New York. Stone had a very short career in porn in the past year and a half, debuting as Chad Knight's winter-wonderland daddy in Falcon's "The Other Side of Aspen 4". The cause of Stone's death was initially and purposefully not released ("Advocate Classifieds" gay porn gossip columnist Jack Francis said he died of "natural causes), but AVN reported the cause of death in the March, 1997 issue. Stone's appearances in "Driven" and "Ripe for Harvest" had many fans hoping for a renaissance of the classic 70s mustachioed look. Sadly, it was not to be. Stone had physical problems which made getting an erection difficult; for his appearance in "Driven", Stone had to have an extremely tied cockring to get hard.

Two Eric Stone films remain to be released: "Manhandlers" (Falcon) and "Ranger in the Wild" (Catalina).
