From: "CD Man" <cd@dc.com> All American Girls - 1982 The original 'sorority sisters spill their sexy stories' film that uses gorgeous girls in exotic settings to stimulate the viewer's libido. Hey, guess what? It works. Perfectly produced fluff for both men and women, and set in a beautiful San Francisco house scheduled for demolition. Locations fool the unaware... This film was so successful it spawned a whole slew of sequels. ALL AMERICAN GIRLS II - IN HEAT has prettier women (arguably) and is almost as hot, but not as well produced. UP, UP AND AWAY (Part 3) is strictly routine cupcake fluff. HEART THROBS has pretty women but lacks true eroticism. ORIENTAL JADE has basically the same cast as HEART THROBS and is as solidly erotic as PART II, but still does not equal the original... Now why is the original the best? It includes more future major stars, and any time camera work and production is superior (when eroticism is even) give me the production plus the sex. Gina Gianetti (credited as Cassie Blake) is the hot blonde Caroline. Joanna, Laura and redheaded Jacqueline are all credited, but Lynx Canon and Starr Wood are not. They are in the casino scene with Starbuck. Copper Penny [Ed.: a true redhead, with red bush] is in the lesbian scene [actually a 3-way] with K.C. Valentine. That's her Leon Gucci film name. The highest calibre of fun and fluff, with IN HEAT and ORIENTAL JADE next on your list of viewing, in that order. Forget the others unless you are a cupcake cruiser chauvinist. Trivia re locations: In the casino scene (Scene 3), the exterior shots are Las Vegas, but the spacious hotel lobby with glass elevators is actually the Hyatt Embarcadero in San Francisco. Scene 5 switches abruptly from Hong Kong's Chinese New Year parade to the Japanese Tea Gardens in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. <Note review by Jim Holliday, thanks to D for the work>
