Reviewed by Anton Deztini DVSX is a name you may not be readily familiar with… not yet that is. This is a studio that could possibly become one of the very top porn producers in the near future. To date, they've garnered some distinguished popularity with several titles. As for this title, Total Babe, the thematic elements are consistent, clear, and definitely geared for a contemporary GenX audience. It is that consistency and focused demographic targeting that, in association with attractive hard working talent, takes this company to a well-respected level in my book. If this is a taste of things to come, and if DVSX stays on a progressive course, we can expect a bright horizon of sexual cinema. Total Babe is an all-sex production, featuring six similarly unfolding scenarios. And although there have been comparisons made (of DVSX) to other prominent companies for the use of "tease", this insight can be translated as good or bad. Indeed, with respect to Total Babe, every scenario begins with subtlety and allure, and guess what? It works! I wouldn't go so far as to compare director Xin's vision with anyone else, but indeed he does capture the essence prior to the hardcore thumping of bodies as only a select few masters ever bother with.. Anyone can just shoot bodies slapping together, those with patience and an eye for erotic imagery can lead us in with impending anticipation. A taste of what Bryan Xin offers… Cover girl Avy Scott, a voluptuous brunette, quietly dresses before the camera's peeping eye. Not satisfied with typical stockings and panties, she strips down, thereby re-dressing in a much sexier fishnets. Enter Cheyne Collins. He too refrains from speech, allowing simple physical signs guide them. To the couch they go; Avy takes her time orally enticing him. Now the bodies bounce, and they do it in a multitude of positions, highlighted by Avy's anal self-fingering while being vaginally pumped. A final graphic cum shot seals this vignette up. Good as that was for an opener, it has nothing on what follows. Four of the remaining five scenes are absolutely scorching. What about the "other" one then? Well, it's very hot, just not as hot – I have to call it like I see it. Another example of sheer fucking frenzy occurs in Total Babe's third chapter. This is quite honestly the second-best lesbian tryst I've ever seen in an adult film (The Fashionistas harbors my first choice). Real-life girlfriends Adriana and Nella demonstrate how easy genuine chemistry looks – and just how poorly mechanical and choreographed girl/girl scenes appear. Upon witnessing two gorgeous dykes actually doing the things that lesbians do, sans the ridiculous sound effects, and unconvincing attempts at cunnilingus and kissing, one can't help but to reflect on all the crappy unrealistic all-girl scenes that one thought was good because that's all one had to watch from every film. Sipping wine, giddy whispering, and genuine attention to mutual lust, these lovely ladies turn the heat way up even before the voracious sex begins. Incidentally, that forthcoming sex is comprised of passionate deep kissing, sincere oral exchanges, and authentic scissor-like "fuzz bumping" – as some might call it. They lock so tightly, grinding away impulsively, this imagery is euphoric even for me. In short, this scene was incredibly real, and that just doesn't happen very often. Kathy Anderson sports a blonde bob, and a firm tasty physique in the following scenario. Her tease begins in the bath, then moves to the bedroom where she dresses seductively. Her man now in tow, the clothes come back off and the sex ensues with rapid and ravaging force. Fucking in missionary and doggy positions warms the couple up to a heavy anal pounding. Beautiful Kathy closes the scene with a remarkable suck/stoke motion on his cock, urging spew into an open mouth. Okay, one more example. Jet black hair, right nipple piercing and an overall body that rocks, Judy Starr does a sweet little lap dance on her partner before cannibalizing his cock in every orifice. Magnificent camera placement captures near-perfect penetration shots and A2M re-lubricating debauchery. This is awesome footage, both stimulating and memorable. Total Babe is more than just hot chicks (though they are all hot indeed). The entire cast is very easy on the eyes. Again, the look of the cast is very Generation X, i.e., lots of silver jewelry, some tattoos and body piercings, dark shades for attire. That look, and the introductory allure and tease, remain consistent throughout every chapter. The sex is just amazing, plus the angles of filming are varied and exciting. Total Babe simply has a modern look and feel about it. The sex flows smoothly and the talent genuinely appear "into it". Now as for a DVD, Total Babe only bears one glitch; occasionally the sound contains light, but noticeable noise (the kind that many "home" videos have). Other than that, viewers can anticipate a crisp transfer. DVSX isn't leading the pack in "extra" materials yet, but maybe future releases will offer more. The bonuses that are on the disc include; a motion chapter breakdown, several "solo" scenes, split-screen still images, some hot trailers, and most importantly – behind the scenes. Something to think about: I don't recommend watching the behind-the-scenes segment prior to watching and enjoying the film itself. Why? In short, this footage shows both the highs and lows of making an adult film, and the pitfall moments could possibly wreck the fantasy as they demonstrate how sometimes the "sex" isn't so enjoyable, thereby quickly edited, etc. So watch the flick first, then check out the "reality" of it, and maintain the fantasy in all its glory.
