Newsgroups: rec.arts.movies.erotica I first saw the Desiree Cousteau when my parents rented porn back in the early 80s, I remember being knocked out by her: a very pretty take on Betty Boo; overacting like mad, but giving off real charm at the same time. Unfortunately, this release did not live up to my expectations..after a good a start (sex by a pool with some unknown guy)...the film falls on it's arse in a big way....too much of the sex is rather lacklustre, is shot exactly the same, there is no build up, and the actors and actresses (apart from Desiree:) have little or no charisma. To top it all off, the sound is overdubbed, (thankfully not in German), but it sounds nothing like the actual actors and after a while completely ruins the (already rather lukewarm) heat any of the scenes may have had by making the whole thing farcical. Worst of all though, is the "orgy" at the end...actually so bad I taped over it so I'd avoid seeing some of the horrors that are in it. The film is almost saved by a brief cameo by John Holmes and Serena, where Desiree is "lured" into the world of porn, it features a nice outdoor scene between Desiree and Serena, but why no full scene with John Holmes ? To Sum Up, a very disappointing re-release, (2.00 on the Imperator scale and that's just because Desiree looks great) if you want to get something decent with Desiree in it, get Pizza Girls, Getting Off or Flight Sensations instead. -S
