The Boobyguard Yep, you guessed it, The Boobyguard is an adult take on the popular Kevin Costner/Whitney Houston vehicle, The Bodyguard - but the only thing really appealing about this title is the great box cover they were able to come up with, which nicely resembles the theatrical movie poster for The Bodyguard. Randy Spears stars as "the boobyguard" and Dominique Simone is the star he has to protect. The title gets its name from the fact that Dominique has just gotten a new boob job, and apparently the press is out to snap a few pictures of her new hooters. The first sex scene features blonde-haired Josalyn Taylor and Randy Spears on a couch in Dominique's home, which turns out to be a pretty standard sex scene, but did remind me of the good ol' days of porn, when actresses would take everything off during sex except their high heels - oh, how I long for those days to return! While Randy is inside having fun, Dominique is outside making out with redhead Cody O'Connor. This is also a fairly average scene, one that contains no toys - just finger and oral action between the ladies. Things pick up a bit (just a bit!) when Tom Byron shows up as a photographer who has Dominique's maid (played by Beatrice Valle) helping him out. Beatrice and Tom have a decent scene in a bedroom where Tom gets to give it to her anally in the spoon position. But Randy discovers the two, takes Tom's camera and kicks them both out of the house. He also figures out that both Cody and Josalyn have betrayed Dominique's trust, and Randy and Dominique listen on one end of the phone while Tom, Cody and Josalyn have a threesome on the other end. Listening to the sex gets Dominique so turned on that she goes down on Randy's cock, and the two have a nice interracial closing segment - easily the best one in the film, and one that concludes with a nice facial for Dominique. Although filmed in 1993, The Boobyguard has the look and feel of 80's porn and really doesn't have the heat of the type of feature current adult fans are used to watching. The makers of the DVD, Forbidden Films, don't do much to make their disc appealing either, giving us no bonus features whatsoever - unless you count a chapter selection and a look at some of their other box covers (with no previews) as "extras". The video and audio is also sub-par, and not much better than videotape. It's nice that a company is releasing some older titles onto the digital format, but it's a shame that some care isn't being made to make the DVDs a little more appealing to the consumer.
