In its day in 1982, this effort would have been a 4.0+. It has withstood the test of time, and would be 4.0+ again in my mind if they brought the naughtie up to 2002 standards. I have no idea how old the tape was I viewed, the boxcover didn't seem that tattered or dusty, however, the film to tape transfer is not the greatest here. I am now able in my preview booths to adjust the TV monitors, however, in this video, even jacking up the brightness and sharpness, most of the scenes were too dim for my tastes. I don't know how many times the original was stepped on before it got to this tape transfer. 2). The parolees. In this film you had Herschel Savage, Joey Silvera, Paul Thomas, John Leslie, and John Martin. Way back then, I never liked Paul Thomas' creepy adonis character, John Leslie's perpetual smirk on his face, and the dumbfounded horror of Hersch. Joey Silvera and especially Jon Martin seemed like regular guys who just got lucky doing porn. Fortunately in this video, the director musta told Leslie, "One smirk and you are out of here", and he complied. 3). The sound level was at times either too soft (especially when my goddess Annette was telling her tales) or too loud (syrupy background muzak). 4). Lisa DeLeeuw looked plenty cornfed in this effort and Mai Lin & Laura Lazare seemed to be in their 40's. What I liked about this video... 1). Watching siskel and ebert as a young'n when they first started out unsyndicated in Chi-town, their simple mantra for enjoying a movie, "Did you end up interested in a character(s)". Bingo! Annette's dilemma of meeting the sultan and telling her tales, inorder to win her life, keeps one's attention. The plot development, sets and costumes here are well done, wimmenz will especially like it. 2). This has some very good g/g in it. The fellow harem girl lightly touching and oiling the outer cuntal lips of Annette prior to her first visit to the sultan is not for the weak of heart. No penetration, just touching and maybe a lick or two. The porn directors of today can't touch this. In this same scene, there is an ungodly side view of Annette Haven's perfect breasts. For those of you who enjoy them succulent and upturned, this is ultimate eyecandy. The young two girl's scene with Jon Martin as the 'doctor' with the esquisitely cute and fresh Tigr and Lisa Thatcher is very, very well done. Actually, it is the only sex scene in the video which is perfectly well lit. 3). Nichole Black's scene with the fisherman (Jon Martin) from start to finish, with Annette telling the tale, was the best sex scene in the video. This is a classic scene for the ages. It has it all from voyeurism to depravity. 4). I don't know how many times I've negotiated with the devil to take me back in time and be allowed to shave, style and fornicate Annette's cuntal. He always comes back with some lame story about me being way-upside-down with him. Surprisingly though, there is little Annette sex in this video, she gets her cooze played with by a harem girl for maybe a minute, maybe a minute giving Leslie a BJ, then stunning cuntal with the sultan.
